Serve

We ALL make up the church. So if you call Red Church home, we'd love to empower you to serve others through using your time and gifts to build the church.
Serving is a great way to meet others, build relationships and we hope, as you serve, you will feel connected to the life and vision of our church and be encouraged in your faith as you serve alongside others.

Spaces to serve

There are many different teams and ministries across our three services on Sundays and throughout the week. Although how you serve might look different, our heart is still the same – to create spaces of welcome, worship, and fellowship centred around Jesus.

Here are some of the teams and ministries that operate across our church:

  • Hospitality and connections

  • Red Kids

  • Youth

  • Worship team

  • Audio Visual

  • Service logistics

  • Red Care

  • Kids Hope

  • Alpha

Where to start

We welcome you to chat with your local Service Pastor or a ministry team leader to explore what opportunities are available to serve.

Safe church practices

To ensure we are a safe place for all who visit and call Red home, every adult who serves in our church holds a Working with Children Check, undertakes a National Police Check and aligns with Red Church's Code of Conduct and Safe Church policy. For those who serve on our kids teams, we also complete two reference checks and Childsafe training.

Serve our community

+ Kids Hope

We partner with Kids Hope, an organisation that supports children by providing social and emotional guidance to help them thrive in school and life. We connect mentors with vulnerable children at our local Primary School and through this one-to-one mentoring kids can find belonging and confidence whilst developing positive relationships. Our aim is to make an ongoing difference to kids, and create strong, healthy community connections.

Here’s how you will be euqipped and connected through the program:

  • Undertake provided training to be a Kids Hope mentor
  • Be matched with a child in need
  • Meet weekly during school hours for an hour session with the child
  • Provide activities for your weekly session e.g. games, craft, cooking
  • Provide feedback on your sessions to the Kids Hope Coordinator
