Groups at Red

Whether it’s a Huddle or Discipleship Group, our groups are committed and intentional spaces to mutually spur one another on to growing in Christ-likeness, seeking God’s transforming presence and living out Jesus’ call in our everyday lives.

Huddles

Huddles are designed to be hubs of transformative discipleship. They are all about providing opportunities to both sit in His presence and allow the power of His teachings to inform and transform our lives so we may carry that lived message to those around us. As with any journey over time – from a road trip to building a house – it’s important to ensure the right planning and foundations are in place. Our foundation is a commitment to following Jesus (true discipleship) and we would love to help you begin well.

+ Things to know about Huddles

  • Each Huddle aims to have four people of the same sex

  • Shared leadership is encouraged

  • Huddles are at their best when meeting weekly for an hour

  • The initial commitment is to a one year journey with the aim to continue for a second year

  • Red seeks to lead you through intentional resources to help you begin and flourish as disciples together

  • If you would like to begin a Huddle outside of Red, you are welcome to use any of our available resources. May you be blessed in your time together.

If Red Church is home for you, we invite you to step into a Huddle.

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups at Red are spaces for a small group of people who follow Jesus to “watch over one another in love” (John Wesley). Whilst culture leads us into patterns of self-serving, the gospel of Jesus invites us as His followers into communion with one another. The Church exists as a body of believers – many parts all working together, united by the Holy Spirit. Discipleship Groups are an opportunity to realign to this vision regularly and spur one another on towards Christ.

+ Things to know about Discipleship Groups

  • They are led by leaders from our church community who are equipped and supported in their roles
  • Each group has 8 – 12 people (depending on the group)
  • A typical group will include elements of food, testimony, intercessory prayer, Sunday message application, and encouragement
  • Discipleship Groups will have intakes as a new group begins or spaces become available. Intakes will include a questionnaire to help members begin the journey well
  • Groups will gather for a weekly or fortnightly rhythm (depending on the group)

If Red Church is home for you, you can enquire here about availability in our current or upcoming groups.
